Kindness - boon or bane??

She was a giver, always poured so much of love...
Didn't realise watering a rock won't make it soft!!
She was a flower,
Bloomed to do away gloom..
Didn't realise thorns will share her destiny n room!!!
She was a butterfly,
Breaking free from a cocoon,
The very wings that add beauty, so very frail...
Gropped n destroyed soon!!!
She was a candle, timid yet bright
Didn't know burning would consume her might...
Kindness is valued late if at all understood, dare I say?
Sounds rude, but the ruthless need it all the way!!!
