Veil

A veil over my face -
Is it an attempt to cloud my vision??
Nonchalantly, I do adorn,
The demure silence could mask my scorn!!
The sanguine strength comes from within...
Not bequeathed by you,
no charity handed in!!!
It cannot smother the beauty of my soul, lest you thought
I merely smile under my veil,
How condescending could it be, to be sought!!!
I gaze to look at the stars with closed eyes,
But they lie within my soul,
I dare to dream,
For, every dream precedes the goal!!!
